Zipper Tickers Black Tie Gala Dinner

Organised by a group of Mums in Newcastle, this black tie gala dinner which is raising funds for a new cardiac ultrasound (echo) machine for us promises to be quite an evening.  Dr John Hewson, a renowned economist, businessman, politician and media commentator, will be the guest speaker on the evening.  There will also be a range of live entertainment and charity auctions (including some very nice artwork and cases of wine).  For more information, visit www.zippertickers.com.

City2Surf

One of the biggest fun runs/walks in the world, an 'Incredible' team from the Heart Centre for Children will be running, walking or crawling from Sydney city to Bondi beach, up Heartbreak Hill and back down again.  All funds raised will go directly to the Heart Centre.  You can support us (and see our 'Incredible' team) at https://city2surf2013.everydayhero.com/au/the-pacemakers

Color Run

Two weeks later, some of the same dedicated staff will be joined by friends, family and fans of the Heart Centre at the 2013 Sydney Color Run, where we will be pelted with bursts of colour while making our way around the 5km track.  If rumours are anything to go by, it is one of the craziest and most fun running events around so we're looking forward to giggling ourselves green and running ourselves red while raising some funds for the Heart Centre.  To join our team head to http://thecolorrun.com/australia/sydney/ and find the Heart Centre for Children team.  To support our team via an online donation, click here.

Echo Gala Dinner

The irrepressible Carol Caleo and her amazing team (including her two sons) heard that we were in need of a new echo machine and so they put their thinking caps on and came up with the idea of a big gala dinner with lots of great charity auctions.  This will be held at the Sofitel in Sydney and is sure to be an entertaining soiree, with auction items including two live cows (yes, cows!).  For more information, go to www.echogaladinner.com
